Press Release:
Galleon Cruises is a tailored and experienced commercial charter boat company, offering superb trips along the South East English coastline – one of Britain’s most spectacular.

Whether you are looking for history, nature or simply a secure location on water,Galleon Cruises provides the solution to a variety of purposes. With moorings at Historic Ramsgate Harbour, Galleon Cruises boat (the Mona Lisa) is within easy reach of London, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford and Canterbury – making the trips incredibly accessible from the City without all of the fuss of taking flights abroad!

With a variety of historical and natural landmarks to experience in the local area, in combination with the stable and well-equipped vessel Mona Lisa, there are a vast array of opportunities for both filming and photography:

1 - Thanet – 26 miles of sandy beaches across the Kent coastline
2 - Pegwell Bay Nature Reserve (excellent for birds)
3 - Botany, Westgate and Stone Bay smuggler coves & caves
4 - Joss and Botany Bay for Surfing
5 - Minnis Bay for Wind and Kite Surfing

Galleon Cruises can help out many commercial needs, including film, photography, safety cover, survey work, civil engineering marine construction, sports events, and many others.

With a lavish and comfortable setting downstairs, the Mona Lisa also makes a perfect location for briefings and meetings both on route and whilst moored at the harbour side.

The Mona Lisa
Skippered by the owner of Galleon Cruises, Dale Bradley, the Mona Lisa is a 33ft Larson wide-beam luxury sports cruiser Cabrio 330. It has twin Volvo ADP41 engines, a cruising speed of 22-25 knots, and a top speed of just over 30 knots.

The boat is licensed category 3 by the Marine & Coastal Agency to take up to 8 people, and fully conforms to all their requirements. It has all of the latest safety equipment as well as the most up to date technology (220V generator included) and provides a galley, 6 bunks, toilets and showers. Food and Drink can be provided on request.

The Mona Lisa is extremely stable in rough weather and has an easy access platform on the stern as well as fully enclosed covers. The crew are friendly and experienced to help out where needed, and can provide a standby service with flexible hours, often at short notice.

Joanne Nolan (CEO) of Screen South said that “Galleon Cruises were extremely professional and we were very impressed with the Mona Lisa – there was plenty of room for our crew to work in, and the facilities onboard eliminated the need to keep going back to land. We would definitely recommend their services.” Elaine Wickham (Film Producer) Medb Films reported that “Having worked with Galleon Cruises we can safely recommend them to any other company looking to film the local coastline – Dale found us brilliant locations and made sure we had everything we need. Plus, the boat was extremely comfortable to work on.”
