ArtixScan 4500t is the latest Microtek state-of-the-art film scanner with a density range and optical resolution specifically designed for discriminating graphic designers, publishing and prepress professionals.

"The ArtixScan 45000t is an exceptionally high performance scanner designed for professionals who insist on high resolution, high dynamic range and high quality solutions." says Kevin Lamb, Sales & Marketing Manager, UK and Northern Europe. "This scanner is a major breakthrough for the photographic world; it offers photographers superior digital image reproduction at a very affordable price."

A specially designed cooling fan system is installed in the ArtixScan 4500t. This cooling system maintains the ideal temperature required by the CCD to perform optimally and produce top quality images with maximum details.

With ArtixScan 4500t, users can scan 35mm slides, 6x7cm, 6x6cm and 5x4in transparencies, positives and negatives, mounted or unmounted.

The 42-bit input and output capacity and a maximum dynamic range of 3.9D ensure that users capture every detail in highlight & shadow areas and allows gradation settings to be accurately represented in the preview screen while preparing the scan.

Features and Benefits:
Optical resolution of 2500dpi
With the 2500dpi optical resolution, the ArtixScan 4500t allows users to scan 35mm slides and blow them up to A3 without any loss in quality.

42-bit scanning input and output
Billions of colours are captured by the ArtixScan 4500t, for true-to-life, natural colour quality. True 42-bit gives greater colour depth and ensures that the captured image is rich and saturated, without being 'overblown' in highlight areas. That detail is maintained in hard-to-reproduce areas of shadow.

Bundled software with built in colour management system
ScanWizard Pro, the advanced scanner driver developed by Microtek, imparts an exceptional function for ArtixScan 4500t. As well as being a Twain driver that supports most image applications, its a program that can operate independently by operating the scan-to-file function. This is most useful in a networked station where operators perform scanning jobs and designers perform scanning adjustment and final design.

The built-in Kodak colour management system (KCMS) performs the colour adjustments to maintain the perfect representation of the original colours to the output devices.

Microtek ICC Profiler enables users to calibrate the ArtixScan 4500t by using Kodak, Agfa or Fuji's IT8 targets. It also generates ICC profiles based on the character of each individual scanner, so the best image quality is always reproduced.

SilverFast 5 professional scanning software combines ease-of-use, quality and productivity. It works with Adobe Photoshop or any Twain compliant software:
