Jessops is offering photographers an early opportunity to get their hands on an eagerly awaited new digital camera.
Europes leading photographic retailer is hosting a special event to celebrate
the launch of the Olympus Mju 300. The stylish new digital camera is based on
the hugely popular Mju series of film cameras, and is the first weather-proof
digital model to come in an all-metal body.
The special event will take place at Jessops flagship World Camera Centre
at 63-69 New Oxford Street on Thursday 20th, Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd March
Visitors to the event can try the exciting new model for themselves and find
out more information from Jessops staff, who will be on hand to demonstrate
the camera. They can also enjoy free street entertainment on Thursday and Friday,
while younger visitors can take away an Olympus balloon.
Further details on the event are available by visiting the store, or contacting
staff on 020 7240 6077.
The three-megapixel Olympus Mju 300 Digital employs the new xD-Picture Card
format, and offers a 3x optical zoom lens, and a 1.5 LCD screen. The weather-proof
body means the camera can still be used whatever the conditions may be.
A range of functions including automatic focusing, Digital ESP (Electro Selective
Pattern) light metering, and a choice of five scene programs, ensure that even
the digital beginner can get great results.
The camera also features macro and panorama modes, 2 in 1 shooting, the recording
of short movie sequences, a built-in flash with red-eye reduction, and a choice
of full auto white balance and four pre-set white balance modes.
It also supports the EXIF 2.2 and Print Image Matching II (P.I.M. II) standards,
enabling compatible printers to produce optimised image printouts using data
saved by the camera.
The Olympus Mju 300 will be available in all Jessops stores from mid-March.
