The new Diamond range harnesses the latest film technology to offer superb results at the kind of value for money price consumers have come to expect from Jessops-brand films.

Photographers can enjoy a host of benefits including increased sharpness and clarity, enhanced colour reproduction, and improved exposure tolerance - meaning users can enjoy better results in poor light conditions and under different kinds of artificial lighting.

The range will include three film speeds - the 100 ISO Diamond Fine, 200 ISO Diamond Everyday, and 400 ISO Diamond Max. The new film uses crystals with larger than usual surface areas throughout all its colour layers delivering accurate colour reproduction while at the same time minimising grain on the final image for superb image clarity.
In addition, improved colour separation throughout the whole red range - from yellow-orange to violet - is achieved through the introduction of new blue-green coupler technology.

Working together, these allow the film's colour reproduction to correspond more closely to the colour perception of the human eye, producing vibrant colours with tremendous accuracy.

As a result, photographers will see better results across the entire colour spectrum. So, for example, blue will show true blue and not be affected by over reddening, greens are not prone to `browning', and the unpleasant green tinge which plagued pictures taken under fluorescent lighting is dramatically reduced.

The new technology also increases the plasticity - 3D effect - of photographs, for results that really stand out from the print.

Having captured the image at the highest quality, the next stage is to ensure superb results at the processing stage, and the Diamond Film's surface is optimised for digitised film developing, including an antistatic dust-beating system. The new range of Diamond Film will be available in Jessops stores from mid July.

Prices will be the same as for the current range of Jessops-brand film, and will start from £2.69 for a 36-exposure roll of 100 ISO Diamond Fine.

All speeds are available as 35mm, 36-exposure rolls, and the 200 ISO Diamond Everyday is also supplied in 40-exposure APS format.

Great value three-film multipacks of Diamond Everyday are also available in both the 35mm and APS formats. Products can be purchased from any of Jessops' network of over 240 stores across the UK, by calling the freephone mail order hotline on 0800 652 6400, or visiting the web site at www.jessops.com.

Customers who use Jessops' processing services will also have the opportunity to try the new film. The company is continuing to offer a free film every time a roll is brought in for first time processing, and in future this will be a film from the new Diamond range.
