8x10 Large Format Film To Make A Comeback - The Impossible Project has announced that it is bringing back the 8x10 film format.

The Impossible Project are re-releasing 8x10 instant film.

The Impossible Project are a company specialising in re-creating Polaroid film of every kind. They have now successfully engineered a new instant film material, called PQ 8x10.

From August 23 – September 24 the Impossible Project Space NYC presents the very first photos taken on test film of the upcoming PQ 8x10 Silver Shade film. This landmark exhibition features work by acclaimed and up and coming photographers Chloe Aftel, Penny Felts-Nannini, Adam Goldberg, Thom Jackson, Tim Mantoani, Alan Marcheselli, Melodie McDaniel, Stefan Milev, Nicholas Misciagna, Rommel Pecson, Bill Phelps and Neal Winter.

The film will go on sale on August 30 on the Impossible Project website. One pack contains 10 photos and will be available for €169, $189 (roughly £118).

A snip for creative advertising photographers who just build it into their costs. There's something a bit special about the tonal range of large format which I'm not sure could be recreated, no matter how much jiggery pokery you did, in Photoshop.
