The Association of Photographers [AOP] is pleased to announce that it elected a new President after Richard Maxted stepped down [at the recent AGM] following 4 years as a Director and a year as President.

First of all we would like to thank Richard for all the hard work and unfailing support that he has given to the Association during his term as Board Sponsor for Education and his year in office as President.  The Association has just completed one of its strongest years in recent times and Richard’s contribution last year was fundamental to the progress that was made.

The new President is Martin Brent who is Board Sponsor for the Awards and who has been a Board Director for 3 years. Martin is represented in London, lives near Worcester and works mainly on location as an advertising photographer, and also has some travel and tourism clients.

Martin is passionate about the Awards and has worked hard to raise the standard over the last few years.  Now in his final year as a Board Director, Martin is looking forward to working with the Managing Director, Kingsley Marten, in order to continue the process that is currently revitalising the Association and to help re-establish the Association’s position in the industry as a whole, after the prolonged period of change that the industry has gone through.

Further details can be found on the AOP website.
