The Bureau of Freelance Photographers (BFP) has launched a new website, replacing its previous one which had run for ten years.
With the new site, photographers will be able to sign up for BFP membership and purchase the new 2014 edition of The Freelance Photographer’s Market Handbook.
Moreover, the new site will in due course include a news blog covering matters of interest to freelance and aspiring freelance photographers.
The main purpose of BFP membership is to help photographers sell their work. Members receive a monthly Market Newsletter giving information on outlets currently looking for pictures, such as magazines, picture libraries, greetings card and calendar publishers etc. Members also receive the annual Freelance Photographer’s Market Handbook every October as it is published. This lists hundreds of outlets looking for pictures, including magazines, books, newspapers, cards and calendars.
In addition, members are able to make use of the Bureau’s advisory service, which offers personal assistance on any aspect of selling pictures.
A BFP membership fee is £54 per annum. For more information and to sign up, take a look at the BFP website
