Nikon have announced 11 new binocular products. There are two new Monarch models and seven models in the Action VI range, which replaces the existing Action V range.
Each model has been designed to provide the highest level of optical performance, durability and mechanical precision.
The new 8x32 and 10x32 HG binoculars combine the latest in optical design with cutting edge engineering technology. They join the 8x42 and 10x42 HG binoculars and continue the tradition of excellent optics and durability , in a more compact and lightweight package - perfect for any use.
The new 32mm features a state-of-the-art optical system, incorporating a patented eyepiece lens design for superior sharpness, clarity, and completely flat field of view. Nikon's specially formulated Eco-Glass, made without the use of arsenic or lead, is used for all lenses and prisms. Fully multicoated 32mm objective lenses for maximum light transmission providing a bright image in any lighting condition. Nikon's phase-correction coatings, along with high reflection silver prism coatings, allow superior color contrast and clear, round images free of vignetting.
Nikon 32mm HG binoculars offer extra-long eye relief, (16mm in both the 8x and 10x versions) to accommodate most eyewear, while user-friendly twist-out rubber eye cups enable viewers with or without glasses to easily use the same binocular.
The HG series features a precise, conveniently located central focus control positioned for fast, easy focusing. A newly designed locking diopter maintains left/right vision balance.
The 8x HG has a 7.8-degree angle of view and a 136m field of view at 1000m while the 10x version has an angle of view of 6.5 degrees and a field of view of 114m at 1000m. These large fields of view help users scan large areas rapidly and thoroughly and make locating subjects easy at most distances.
Both models weigh only 715g and close-focus to less than 2.5m allowing easy portability and exceptional close-range resolution. They measure 129mm x 138mm.
Because many binoculars are used in poor weather, the HG models are O-ring sealed and dry nitrogen filled, to provide completely waterproof, fogproof and shockproof performance. Tough protein rubber armour enhances durability and provides a good grip - wet or dry.
The new 8x42 and 10x42 Monarch binoculars, both feature an advanced new roof prism optical design. It incorporates Nikon's exclusive Eco-Glass (made without the use of arsenic or lead) for all lens and prism elements. Prisms feature phase-correction coatings and high reflection mirror coatings for superior sharpness and resolution, and all lenses and are fully coated with multiple layers of anti-reflective compounds for maximum light transmission.
The result is much improved low-light brightness, edge-to-edge sharpness, and definition.
Nikon's new Monarch series available in 8x and 10x models, both with 42mm objective lenses, allowing for a 5.3mm exit pupil in the 8x model and a 4.2mm exit pupil in the ten power model. Each model close focuses down to just 2.5m. The 10x model has a field of view of 105m at 1000m and the 8x has a 110 field at 1000m.
Built with an extremely durable alloy body housing, the Monarch is ruggedly constructed for true waterproof, fogproof and shockproof performance. The 8x42 Monarch measures just 146mm x 129mm long and weighs 610g, while the 10x model is only 143mm x 129mm, weighing 610g.
Ergonomic styling, combined with a new rubber armoured exterior provides added shock resistance and a firm grip, wet or dry. Turn and slide rubber eyecups, complemented by long eye relief, allow the binoculars to be used as comfortably by eyeglass wearers as those with uncorrected vision. A large central focus wheel and adjustable diopter make focus easy to achieve and
maintain, even while wearing gloves.
