Nikon Capture v1.01
This brand new software is the completely redesigned photo editing software that provides professional photographers powerful tools for photo editing. Capture NX unleashes the power of the Nikon Electronic Format (NEF) files and, for the first time, also makes JPEG and TIFF image processing elegant, intuitive, and extremely powerful. Capture NX enables a full non-destructive image editing workflow, and provides a number of new features, including Color Control Points powered by U Point™ technology, selection tools for image adjustments, improved batch processing, and full support for ICC based color management. With Capture NX the photo editing possibilities are endless!

If after the trial period, you decide to purchase a full CD version of Capture NX then please contact your local authorised Nikon dealer.

Nikon Capture NX for Windows and Macintosh can be downloaded from the Nikon European Support Centre

The Color Control Points are brilliant - but it is slooooooow to render the NEF files. (I have 2Gb of memory too)

V1.0.0 wouldn't work at all on my PC, but 1.0.1 does - although it's so slow to use, I could lose the will to live. Though to be fair to Nikon's brilliant programmers, I have *only* 1GB RAM in a machine that otherwise runs Photoshop at full blast.

Might be better to await version 2 than spend oodles on more memory.
