Nikon Europe has announced that four of its products have won accolades in the highly prestigious TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) awards.

TIPA, Europe’s leading image press association, has given the prize for 'Best DSLR Advanced' to the Nikon D7100, 'Best Easy Compact Camera' to the Nikon Coolpix S01, 'Best Superzoom Camera' to the Nikon Coolpix P520 and the 'Best CSC Entry Level Lens' to the Nikon 1 Nikkor 11-27.5mm f/3.5-5.6 ED-IF.

Nicolas Gillet, Product Manager, Compact Digital Cameras for Nikon Europe said: "It is a real privilege for Nikon Europe to win four TIPA Awards across the D-SLR and compact camera segments, as well as for one of our Nikkor lenses. Our Coolpix range had a strong year, which included our two award winners - the stylish and easy to use S01 and the incredibly versatile bridge camera that captures any situation, the Coolpix P520."

TIPA Awards are independently voted each year by 29 photographic magazines across five continents. The jury takes into account innovation, the use of leading-edge technology, design and ergonomics, ease of use as well as price / performance ratio, when deciding the winner of each category.
