Nikon UK today announces that it is reducing the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of its popular D5000 digital SLR camera by over £100.

Antonio Guillen, Nikon’s Consumer Digital SLR Product Manager, comments: "The introduction of the new D3000 and D300S cameras has allowed us to reposition the D5000 to offer an even stronger consumer line up - there’s something for everyone, whether you are looking to get into DSLR photography for the first time or want to develop your passion or hobby."

From 1st September 2009, the revised RRP pricing for D5000 kit combinations will be as follows:
