Nikon Coolpix 2000 digital camera is unveiled

Nikon have today announced the Coolpix 2000. This is a compact digital camera with 2 megapixels and is very light at 190g. Despite being priced competitively Nikon have managed to include a 3x Zoom-Nikkor lens, an auto mode and five scene modes to choose from. It clearly continues the styling of the slightly higher-end Coolpix 2500 which was also announced this year.

A compact digital still camera with 2.0 effective megapixels, the Coolpix 2000 is the most accessible model of the Coolpix digital camera lineup. This is Nikon's first sub 200.00 digital compact and it adds depth and strength to the Coolpix range.
