Nikon Coolpix S01 in Chrome

This Nikon Coolpix S01 is an ultra compact camera, that really is smaller than a bar of soap, available in chrome, white, red, black, pink, with a 2.5 inch touch screen on the back (adding buttons would have required either a smaller screen or a larger camera). It has rounded corners, a built in flash, and the zoom control surrounds the shutter release button.

It's possible for it to be so small, as it uses a smaller than standard 1/2.9" sensor - one that's slightly bigger than used in mobile phones. The 3x optical zoom lens is the equivalent of 29mm at the wide end, and zooms to 87mm telephoto which is very similar to the Kodak Easyshare M200 Mini and Samsung ST30 as they also use smaller sensors.

It's a very stylish and cute camera you could take anywhere with you and forget you had it on you. Built in lithium-ion battery that can't be removed as well as 7.3gb of memory. The Nikon Coolpix S01 has an RRP of £149 and will be on sale mid-September.
