Nikon 55-200mm
Nikon introduce AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm
The lens is suitable for everything from candid portraits to sports, nature and wildlife photography. It features the newly developed compact SWM (Silent Wave Motor) which allows excellent handling and an ultra compact, lightweight design. The lens weighs approximately 255g (9 oz.) and measures a compact 68 x 79mm (2.7 x 3.1 in.).

Two ED glass elements allow high resolution and contrast whilst minimising chromatic aberration and other forms of distortion. The new compact SWM offers smooth and quiet autofocus performance which users have come to expect from our existing SWM.

Both the AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED and the new AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED lens provide a focal length range from wide-angle 18mm to telephoto 200mm (providing a picture angle equivalent to a 27-300mm lens in 35mm format).

The AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED is available in black and silver, to match the colour variations of the Nikon D50.

Note: This lens is not compatible with 35mm [135] or IX240 format film cameras. Specifications, design, product name, standard accessories, and release schedule may differ by country or area.
