Nikon introduce AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm - This ultra compact, lightweight telephoto zoom lens has a 3.6x 55-200mm focal range (providing a picture angle equivalent to an 82.5-300mm lens in 35mm format) and is ideally suited to the new Nikon D50.

Two ED glass elements allow high resolution and contrast whilst minimising chromatic aberration and other forms of distortion. The new compact SWM offers smooth and quiet autofocus performance which users have come to expect from our existing SWM.
Both the AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED and the new AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED lens provide a focal length range from wide-angle 18mm to telephoto 200mm (providing a picture angle equivalent to a 27-300mm lens in 35mm format).
The AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED is available in black and silver, to match the colour variations of the Nikon D50.
Note: This lens is not compatible with 35mm [135] or IX240 format film cameras. Specifications, design, product name, standard accessories, and release schedule may differ by country or area.
