Nikon will be at the Gadget Show Live

Join Nikon at the Gadget Show Live this April to talk technology and to see how their latest camera technology is used for creating impressive special effects.

Nikon UK is pleased to announce that it will be presenting at this year’s highly anticipated The Gadget Show Live. The show is the UK’s fastest growing and most exciting consumer electronics show, held at the Birmingham NEC from 7th-11th April.
 
Building upon the success of last year’s show, which brought the popular channel Five programme live to consumers’ fingertips; visitors will get the chance to see, try and buy all of the latest gadgets and gizmos that promise to be hot news in 2010.
 
Nikon will be taking to the stage as part of The Gadget Show Photographic Masterclass Theatre, demonstrating how its latest camera technology is used for creating impressive special effects in film production. Visitors to the show will see how these techniques can also be used at home to improve their own photography.
 
Working in partnership with Timeslice Films, the special effects company behind digital SLR camera array special effects such as 'freeze time' and 'bullet time' made popular in films such as Wing Commander, The Matrix and the upcoming Street Dance 3D , as well as programme indents for the popular dance show So You Think You Can Dance, Nikon will set up a live demonstration on stage using a rig of multiple cameras set up on Stop Frame Animation to capture a moment in time from around a subject.

Jon, Suzi, Ortis and Jason; presenters from Channel Five’s, The Gadget Show, are returning to present this year’s show at the Birmingham NEC. Following the success of the show’s debut in 2009, with all 30,000 tickets selling out months in advance, an extra preview afternoon has been added on the 7th April.
