Nokia Launch Smartphone With RAW Capabilities - Nokia have launched the Lumia 1520 smartphone, which is believed to be the first phone with RAW capability.

Nokia has announced the Lumia 1520 smart-phone, which has RAW image capture. 

It is reported that Nokia is the first in the world to create a smart-phone that is capable of taking RAW images straight out of the box. 

The currently available Lumia 1020 will be recieving an update in early 2014, enabling it to take RAW images also. 

The 1520 features a 20 megapixel Pureview camera, and a Zeiss lens with optical image stabilisation. It also has a 1.2 megapixel front camera, and will support microSD cards up to 64 GB on top of its 32GB built in storage capacity. It features a 6 inch Gorilla Glass 1920 x 1080 screen. 

The Lumia 1520 will be available in orange, yellow, black and white from early next year, and will cost $749 before tax.

There's an App for the iPhone that does the same thing - saves in a DNG format. Works a treat.
