The latest mobile phone announced by Nokia, at the yearly event Nokia World, features a 28mm f/2.2 Carl Zeiss lens, as well as touch focus, a 3.7 inch curved glass touch screen with a resolution of 800x480 pixels, 16Gb of built in memory, and a 1.4Ghz processor. The phone also features 720p video, GPS tagging, and Wi-Fi connectivity. More information is available from Nokia.

Shame about the rest of the PHONE.
Definitions:
Telephone: Primary function= Communications.
Secondary functions: Other 'stuff' such a being able to connect to the Internet, play games, play music... oh!! And take 'grab moments' photos.
Camera: Primary function= capture visual images - typically, still images
Secondary function: Possibly being capable of capturing video.
Ability to communicate via voice or text..?? NONE.

I do agree with you in respect of a phones primary function and they will never take the place of a camera ..but for people like myself....busy workin mum and dog owner....i find the camera on my phone very hand. I use the Nokia n 8.
I always have it on me and have taken alot of off the cuff photos that otherwise i would've missed. And at least if the camera phone is of reasonable quality then I'm not too disappointed in the result.
Sometimes those are the photos that mean the most. Catch the moment!
