Olympus add the Mju-V 35mm compact to their range - The camera boasts a 3x optical zoom consisting of eight elements arranged in seven groups, including an Extra-low Dispersion (ED) lens element usually found only in expensive SLR cameras.
Olympus have announced the 'Supermodel' of the Mju series, the Mju-V, and with it, becomes the first manufacturer in the world to successfully integrate a high-performance 3x zoom lens with a focal length of 38mm to 105mm in a compact All-Weather body.
The camera boasts a 3x optical zoom consisting of eight elements arranged in seven groups, including an Extra-low Dispersion (ED) lens element usually found only in expensive SLR cameras.
The Mju-V also has an advanced combination Multi-Wide AF system. The active component utilises strobe-assisted lighting to illuminate the subject, if required, while those looking for more control can benefit from the passive auto focus that takes measurements up to 11 points. With a spot mode feature, and the chance to choose from six different flash modes from the built in flash, this camera offers plenty to the novice and expert alike.
Housed in a all-weather aluminium case weighing a mere 210g (without battery) the stylish camera is small enough to fit comfortably into your pocket.
Availability and pricing
Available from November the Mju-V is £199.99.
