In a burst of Spring activity, Olympus has introduced five new compact cameras, two 35mm models and three based around the Advanced Photo System.

The 35mm models include the Superzoom 160 is Olympus' smallest compact camera ever. Finished in silky gold and pearl-tone, it's an extension of Olympus's 35mm compact series. It has a 4.2x zoom lens, from 38-160mm, along withadvanced autofocus and versatile flash modes. Price is 229.99 or 249.99 for the QD (Quartz Date) version.

The big selling point of the Mju II Zoom 170 is a zoom lens which goes all the way up to 170mm, yet still begins at 38mm. Finished in a champagne-gold colour, it weighs just 275g and measures only 123 x 66.5 x 50mm. Price is 249.99.
