Summer’s practically here and Olympus is celebrating. That’s why the shockproof, waterproof and freezeproof µ 850 SW is back in two new exciting colours: Crystal Blue and Lemon Yellow. What’s more, Starry Silver now comes as part of a Summer Kit, complete with flip flops, an air bed and a sun screen for that perfect day at the beach or by the pool! The ultra-tough µ 850 SW in two new colours and the Summer Kit are available immediately at selected retailers – but hurry: there’s a limited European supply.

Get ready for fun in the sun! Featuring an attractive metal body in a choice of Crystal Blue, Lemon Yellow, Starry Silver, Midnight Black and Metal Pink, the Olympus µ 850 SW is the tough µ model for everyone (Summer Kit only available in Starry Silver). Shockproof to 1.5m, waterproof to 3m and freezeproof to -10°C, this powerful camera boasts 8.0Mp for detailed shots. A 2.5in/6.4cm HyperCrystal LCD makes for comfortable framing and reviewing, while a 3x optical zoom (equiv. to 38-114mm) affords additional framing flexibility. And for fantastically precise macro shots, an integrated LED Macro Illuminator is there to shed plenty of light on the subject.

With advanced features such as Face Detection, Shadow Adjustment and BrightCapture Technology, the µ 850 SW delivers perfectly exposed and focused shots, plus better results in low light. Digital Image Stabilisation is additionally available to protect against blur caused by handshake or fast-moving subjects. And an incredible 38 languages on board allow users across Europe to navigate the camera’s intuitive menus in their native tongue. For added fun up to 40m below the water’s surface, the PT-041 underwater case is available for the µ 850 SW as optional extra.
