EISA Awards For Olympus - Olympus walk away with two accolades from this year's EISA Awards.
Posted:

Two of Olympus' flagship cameras have won prestigious EISA awards.
The extra-wide aperture Tough TG-1 won the award for European All Weather Camera 2012-2013 while the OM-D, with its ingenious electronic viewfinder system, took the big prize in the European Compact System Camera 2012-2013 section.
Here's what the EISA jury said about the TG-1: "The Olympus TG-1 is an outstanding outdoor camera... guaranteed to be shockproof (to 2m*), waterproof (to 12m*), crushproof (to 100kg*) and freezeproof (down to -10°C*)... The 12-Megapixel backlit CMOS sensor, together with the TruePic VI processor and fast 25-100mm** f2-4.9 zoom lens, delivered excellent-quality pictures and low levels of noise."
On the OM-D the jury said: "The super-fast, single-shot autofocus and the exceptional 1.4-million-dot electronic viewfinder will make you believe you’re shooting with an SLR."
In addition to the "excellent picture quality", the jury also praised the OM-D’s touch-sensitive flip-out OLED screen, advanced 5-axis image stabilisation, weather-resistant body and Art Filters, plus the fact that it is "extremely comfortable to hold".
Visit the Olympus website for more information on the award-winning cameras.
