Oneworld Images in collaboration with our good friends and local hoteliers Kostis Maroulis and Marcie Mayer are pleased to be able to offer this exciting photography holiday, on the beautiful island of Kea (Tzia) – The real Greece.

Tzia is the first island, in terms of proximity to mainland Greece, in the Cycladic chain of islands. The scenery is diverse from one area to another and several micro climates can be experienced in one day by traversing the island.

To the locals it’s Tzia but you’ll find it as Kea on the map. Tzia has no airport and is reached by ferry from the port of Lavrio, near Athens. This is one of the reasons why the island has remained untouched by international tourism. Kea is however popular with affluent Athenians as a weekend retreat due to its easy access from the capital.

Tzia is a photographer’s paradise with secluded bays, traditional villages and a variety of landscapes. The island is greener than most of the other Cycladic chain of islands that it belongs to, with a profusion of Oak and Almond trees. There are many remote beaches with crystal blue seas that can only be reached on foot or by boat.

Non photographer spouses and partners are also welcome at reduced rates, which exclude the photographic workshop itineraries. To keep them busy Kostis and Marcie offer a number of activities that can be purchased at additional cost such as:

• Walking tours of the island.
• Boat trips around the islands coves and inlets.
