The UK's No.1 show for outdoor pursuits, The Outdoors Show, returns to ExCeL, London from 17 – 20 January 2013. It has always been a fantastic event for those passionate about the outdoors and this year there is a huge emphasis on the world of outdoor photography.
This year The Outdoors Show has teamed up with ‘Outdoor Photography’ to give photography a huge presence at the 2013 show, making it a real feast for photographers of all levels. For the first time the event will host the Outdoor Photography Photobox – a purpose built theatre that will feature a variety of activities over the show’s four day duration.
Not only will the winner of the ‘Outdoor Photographer of the year 2012’ competition winner be announced but all winning category images will be displayed for all attendants to see. The Outdoor Photography team will also be there in force to give helpful tips and photography guidance as well as talks on how to get your images published.
If this wasn’t enough there is also an amazing line up of inspirational speakers from the world of photography. Those giving talks include wildlife photographer Andy Rouse, BBC Human Planet photographer Timothy Allen, Planet Earth photographer Sue Flood and many more!
The Photobox is not the only place photographers can get their outdoor photography fix however as the National Geographic Traveller – who has teamed up with the Active travel Show - will be presenting some awards of its own on the National Geographic Traveller stage. Both the ‘National Geographic Kids Photographer’ and the ‘National Geographic Traveller’ award winners will be announced at the show.
For those looking to get their hands on the latest kit and seek out technical advice, Wex Photographic (formerly Warehouse Express) will have a large retail presence at the show.
A ticket to The Outdoors Show also gains access to the Active Travel Show, as well as the London Bike Show and London Boat Show so no matter what ticket is purchased, all stages, talks and awards can be visited!
