Lumix LZ40

Panasonic has announced the Lumix LZ40 bridge camera. The LZ40 features a 42x zoom in a compact and ergonomically shaped body. It also has a 22mm ultra-wide angle lens, and a 20 megapixel sensor, providing incredible detail even in low light situations.

The large 3 inch 460k-dot LCD display allows you to see the screen even in the brightest situations, allowing you to shoot and review your photos easily.

The Lumix LZ40 also allows you to record 1280x720p HD video, with the press of a dedicated button on top of the camera. Optical Image Stabilisation allows you to keep both photos and videos steady while shooting.

The LZ40 features full manual control as well as Intelligent Auto settings, which include Face Detection, Intelligent Scene Selector and Intelligent Exposure - allowing you to shoot without having to worry about adjusting settings when conditions change.

The camera also features 15 filters, including Soft Focus, Miniature Effect and Sepia, making it easy to personalise your shots. The LZ40 will be available for £229.99 from April 2014.
