Park Cameras Grand Opening a success - Park Cameras held the Grand Opening of their new store at Burgess Hill on Saturday and it proved to be a huge success.
The much-anticipated Grand Opening event at Park Cameras last Saturday, 11th October 2008, proved to be an unrivalled success. With representatives from many of the photographic industry’s leading brands instore, customers on the day were treated to an event unique within the trade as new products met unrepeatable offers in what was to prove a photographers paradise.
With the Canon EOS 5D Mk II, Sony Alpha a900 and Pentax K-m instore, not to mention the first UK showing of the Panasonic G1 with the world’s first electronic viewfinder, photo enthusiasts were treated to the very best of what the photographic industry had to offer.
Meeting the desired effect of creating a fun day out for all the family, Epson’s hot air balloon was inundated with both families and photographers keen to put their new purchase to the test as was the onsite pancake and crepe stall, providing a fun (and fulfilling) link to the Olympus Pancake lens!
The undoubted star of the show, however, was David Bailey who, in association with Olympus, attended the Grand Opening Event to officially declare the store open as well as tour the building with Managing Director Reg Atkins. Two informative Q+A sessions gave an insight as to what made the photographic icon tick, much to the delight of David’s legion of fans, many of whom had travelled some considerable distance just to capture an image of the photography legend.
With over 700 people coming through the door on the day, Park Cameras is continually looking for new ways in which to ensure that the customer’s photographic buying experience is both an enjoyable and rewarding one - Saturday’s Grand Opening ensured that the company went a long way towards achieving this aim.
