Pentax announce Espio 60S zoom compact camera. -
Posted:

The Espio 60s is a compact, lightweight camera with a 35-60mm zoom, fully automatic operation, auto flash and other user-friendly features.
It's just 115mm wide, 70mm high and 48mm thick and weighs 174grams so it will easily fit into a shirt pocket or small handbag, making it convenient for all kinds of formal and casual occasions. The camera's large zoom lever and accessible control buttons are positioned to make operations quick and effortless.
Its 35-60mm zoom offers focal length settings of 35mm, 45mm, 50mm and 60mm (the zoom viewfinder automatically adjusts the size of its image) and a zoom macro capability of one metre at 35mm wide-angle or 1.2 meters at the 60mm telephoto setting.
The camera's infrared autofocus, program auto-exposure, auto loading, ISO film-speed setting (with DX-coded film), auto film advance and auto film rewind take care of all the handling while the LCD panel on the camera's upper panel provides the user with operational information at a glance. Here you can see things such as exposure frame number, flash status, red-eye reduction mode, self-timer, film status, and battery level warning.
Its built-in auto flash offers four modes including auto flash, flash-on, flash-off and red-eye reduction.
The built-in self-timer delays the shutter release by 10 seconds and the camera automatically shuts the power off if unused for five minutes to conserve the batteries.
