Pentax K2000D rumours circulate the net

Rumour has it that Pentax are soon to release the K2000D, an entry level DSLR that will be the model below the popular K200D.

The rumour was initially started at a Pentax demo day in Belgium where a Pentax distributor let slip of the forthcoming release. Speculation has it that the camera will be released close to Photokina 2008 in September, and the distributor also let slip that there may be a full-frame Pentax DSLR released around the same time.

Should a full-frame camera be released, it will be the first of its kind in the Pentax line-up. Followers of Pentax will know that a prototype full-frame model was created in 2001 but was never actually released. Watch this space...
