Pentax Imaging Systems has enhanced its range of SLR and compact cameras to offer retailers top-quality innovative cameras across a variety of price points and technical specifications.

The new compact additions include the credit card size Pentax Optio RS1000, nicknamed the Chameleon, with its interchangeable front (RRP £119.99); and the Pentax Optio RZ10, an easy to use 10x wide angle camera which comes in five eye-catching colours (RRP £179.99).

The SLR range has been enhanced with the introduction of two interchangeable lens digital SLR cameras. The Pentax K-r, combines simple, user-friendly functions with a wide array of advanced features (RRP £599.99 – 699.99); and the weatherproof Pentax K-5, which comes equipped with a host of advanced photographic tools for the easy creation of great pictures (RRP £1199.99-£1699.99).

“We are totally committed to providing retailers with a range of cameras that today’s photographers can relate to, be they first time users or serious enthusiasts, design conscious or functionality focused or both,” says Jonathan Martin, general manager at Pentax Imaging Systems. “We aim to quadruple our market share over the next three years and these bold new products are just the first step in achieving this aim.”
