Phase One Release version 3.7.3 of their Capture One Software

This new version is available as a free download to existing Capture One users from the Phase One website. Support for new cameras like the Canon Eos 5D has been added, plus Beta support for the forthcoming Nikon D200 release. A feature called 'Pattern Noise Suppression has been added to remove unwanted artifact that are present when using ultra wide lenses with certain digital cameras.

Support for new cameras

The DB and PRO versions of Capture One will include support for the brand new Phase One Digital Backs P 30 and P 45, featuring 31 and 39 mega pixels respectively.

The PRO and LE versions of Capture One will now also support the cameras listed below:

Improved image quality
In certain situations when shooting with a Phase One H 25, P 20 or P 25 using ultra wide angle lenses we have experienced that small artifacts can appear in the image. In Capture One 3.7.3 we have introduced a new feature, Pattern Noise Suppression, which makes it possible to remove these artifacts. We have developed a special algorithm to deal with these rare artifacts typically seen as small maze/labyrinth patterns in the image on the Phase One digital backs. In some cases this feature has an improving effect on Olympus cameras and also the Leica Digital Module R and the feature is available on those cameras as well.

With Capture One 3.7.3 the banding suppression feature will now also support 16 bit TIFF output, so users can now have optimal image quality and take advantage of the banding suppression feature in Capture One.

All white balances (pre-defined, auto and custom) from Nikon cameras, including D2X, D2Hs and D50 are supported in Capture One PRO and LE.
New language supported in application

Traditional Chinese has been added to the Capture One application.
Updated End User License Agreement (EULA)

The EULA has been updated and simplified.
