Jay Kaycappa was found guilty of grabbing the wife of the former Beatle on the shoulder in order to take a better photograph. The attack took place in an underground passageway in July last year. It was also discovered he had been commissioned to follow Mills for several days while working for the News of the World and Kent News and Pictures.

Kaycappa was spared jail but sentenced to 140 hours of community service and ordered to pay £100 to Mills as well as £1,000 in court costs
