Photographer Of The Year Winners Announced - The Guild of Photographers 'Photographer Of The Year' awards winners have been announced.
The winners of the 2012 Guild of Photographers 'Photographer Of The Year' awards have been announced.
Tracy Willis won the Guild's overall 'Photographer of the Year' 2012 title as well as being their 'Photographer of the Year' in the 'People' category. Vitty Robinson was the runner-up in the 'People' category.
Beverley Foster won the 'Photographer of the Year' title in the 'Wedding' category and Andy Robinson was the runner-up.
Mark Tomlinson won the 'Photographer of the Year' title in the 'Open' category and Graham Jeremiah Jones was the runner-up.
Our 'All-Round Photographer of the Year' title (i.e. the person with the highest combined score from any two categories) was won by Charlotte Bellamy and the runner-up was Belinda James.
Guild Director Steve Thirsk said "The winners have done incredibly well! I don't know of a more demanding competition process anywhere. To come out on top after being assessed by a highly acclaimed judging panel over a 12 month period is quite remarkable."
The competition was sponsored by InFocus insurance and One Vision Imaging.
The Guild is 25 years old this year and is the fastest growing photographic association in the UK with a reputation for being the friendliest, and the most forward thinking!
More details about the Guild and the winners can be found at the Photography Guild website.
