'Photographers' Book Available To Pre Order

A new book called 'Photographers' is now available to pre order.

The book celebrates the men and women behind the camera. They range from press photographers and photo journalists to studio and fashion photographers.

Some of the greatest names from twentieth century photography are shown with their Leica, Nikon, Rolleiflex and Speed Graphic cameras taking pictures of film stars such as Marilyn Monroe, and pop stars such as the Beatles.

Photographers sets the photographers and their cameras within the wider context of the rapid growth in demand for photographers of celebrities in the 1890s. It also looks at the celebrity culture associated with the rise of the movies in the 1920s.

The book includes rarely seen and previously unpublished photographs from the archives of Getty Images.
