PNY Unveils New SDHC Pro Elite Plus Card - PNY have launched a SDHC Pro Elite Plus memory card.

PNY has unveiled the SDHC Pro-Elite Plus memory card.
Offering read speeds of 95 MB/s and write speeds of 90 MB/s, the cards are designed for professional photographers that need to take full advantage of their camera’s burst mode. Certified Class 10 and UHS-1 (Ultra High Speed), the cards are also ideal for full-HD video even in the most extreme conditions.
Laurent Masurel, professional surf photographer and PNY Photo Ambassador, said: “As a professional surf photographer, I shoot up to 40 RAW images at 9 frames per second for a single manoeuvre. The SDHC Pro-Elite Plus gives me the speed and reliability I need. The card ensures that I’m able to capture an entire manoeuvre of a surfer in burst mode over several seconds, even in the difficult conditions in which I work.”
The SDHC™ Pro-Elite Plus is available now in 16GB and 32GB capacities, and 64GB from January 2013. These high capacity cards allow even the most enthusiastic photographers to shoot in burst mode or HD video.
Every photographer that purchases a PNY SDHC™ Pro-Elite Plus will receive a water and shock resistant Flash card case, helping to ensure better protection in all conditions.
The 16GB card will be £59.99, and the 32GB version will be £89.99.

Quote: What do you think
Perhaps they should take a look at whats on offer by Sandisk, OK! Maybe not as fast, BUT fast enough and in most cases, Way way faster than cameras can write to card anyhow.....!!!
So what is the point, Take the 16gb option, You get 4 Sandisk Extremes for the same price, At 30MB/s ( HD Video capable ) they are plenty fast enough for current cameras.
At the very least a very limited market with that price structure.....![]()
Another thing !!!
Putting the letters " Pro " on everything under the sun, Its old hat marketing and has devalued all credibility with so called Professional usage, All it means now is, Its more expensive, Not that its any better than the standard, No Pro would be seen dead with products....!!!
Just how long is a piece of Pro String........![]()
