The Power of Light - SWPP presents The Power of Light featuring Tony Corbell, on of the leading photographers and educators in the area of photographic lighting in the U.S.

These seminars will start off with a slide show lecture format to establish a foundation on which to build in the early part of the day and will conclude with actual live shooting of models for illustrating the techniques discussed in the afternoon.
Topics covered will include:
Tony has had an interesting career. He has photographed three U.S. presidents, 185 World Leaders, 65 Nigerian Heads of State, about 550 brides and grooms, a couple of Astronauts and lots of famous and not so famous faces in the past twenty-eight years. Along the way Tony has spoken at over 350 seminars and workshops nationally and internationally. He is the recipient of the highest honour from the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International with their Lifetime Achievement Award and achieved the status of Photographic Craftsman from the Professional Photographers of America. In 2005, Tony received the Photographer of the Year Award from the International Photographic Council of the United Nations at a ceremony in New York at the U.N. and the PPA National Award from the Professional Photographers of California.
Tony’s Basic Studio Lighting book published by AmPhoto has been popular worldwide and is the basis for numerous photographic college lighting courses across the U.S. He has written articles in literally every major photographic magazine in the U.S., Japan and China. He was first of a select few Approved Photographic Instructors from the Professional Photographers of America and in 2005 was San Diego, California’s commercial photographer of the year. In 2006, Tony received an invitation to become part of Camera Craftsmen of America, an elite group of only 40 photographers worldwide. Today Tony serves as Sr. Mgr. for Product Education and Planning for Nik Software Inc., the world’s top photographic software and technology companies.
