Qflash softboxes

An Octagon Softbox and Strip Softbox have been added to the Quantum Qflash range.

The two new light modifiers will work with all Qflash models and with many other types of shoe-mount flashes and some Norman & Lumedyne flash heads.

The Octagon Softbox is 26 inch in diameter, lightweight, quick to erect and easily collapsible. While the Strip Softbox is 10x24 inch and can be used as a fill-in or main light.

Both light modifiers have soft silver interiors, which create an even light spread and the front white diffusion material has added diffusion in the centre to prevent a "hot spot".

These modifiers come with an adjustable shoe mount bracket, swivel bracket hardware and soft carrying bag (38 x 13 x 7 cm).

Pricing:
  • 26 inch Octagon Softbox - £270.00 including VAT.
  • 10 x 24 inch Strip Softbox – £142.80 including VAT.

yeah exactly, it's bloody outrageous what they charge for modifiers, and not just this manufacturer either. When you watch all the strobist stuff and see what can be made and what comparable bits of kit can be made for minimal cost it really does take the biscuit when you see such high prices across the board for what essentially is just a bit of translucent material over a textile box.

You can guarantee that these are being manufactured in places like China for mere pounds and yet they are loading it all up at the consumer end.
