Quest Ultra-power battery announced -
Quest, a British manufacturer, is slashing the cost of batteries for the digital photographer with potential savings of up to 10,000 over the life of a single camera.
The Peterborough based company has developed a rechargeable digital camera battery product which according to them has proved in tests to outlast, in its life-time, at least 2,500 sets of the most powerful disposable AA batteries on the market. The environmentally friendly Nickel Metal Hydride based product also powers the camera for up to ten times longer than 1800mAh AA batteries on a single charge.
The Quest Ultra-power pack, at under 60 inclusive for the Economy model, is claimed to be the perfect battery solution for today's power hungry digital cameras: "This particular rechargeable battery system is hugely popular," says Quest spokesman, former professional photographer, Alan Ainger, "because it allows one to stop worrying about batteries and get on with the photography. Even with the camera's display permanently running and all automatic functions switched on and a microdrive attached, the Ultra-power pack will provide power at least all day before needing a recharge."
This impressive product is the highest capacity Nickel Metal Hydride external camera power solution on the market and suitable for virtually all digital cameras. In addition to its competitive price, it is compact, lightweight and can be charged equally effectively from a mains source, lighter socket in a car or boat, or from Quest's Field Power Pack, which facilitates recharging in the remotest locations: "Rechargeable camera batteries rechargeable anywhere" boasts the company web-site, www.QuestUK.net, "Using lightweight add-on packs and accessories, you recharge on the move and enjoy extended shooting sessions without interruption -- wherever you are!"
Quest, having now sold to more than 50 countries around the globe, is putting greater battery power into the hands of more and more photographers. The company is setting new standards of endurance and ground-breaking levels of economy and portability for amateurs and professionals alike.
