There are many ways we can all view our images now which include prints, photo books, on TVs, through websites, in blogs we create or in galleries we add our work to. No matter how we finally view our images the majority of them will begin the journey on a monitor, usually in some sort of editing software and for this reason, it's important that the monitor used is suited for displaying digital photographs.

By doing so you'll be able to:
  • Achieve the colours you want in photos
  • Finely retouch photos in the correct colours (so when viewed by others they'll appear as you intended.)
  • Make the colours displayed on the monitor match those in the printed photo (so you don't waste time trying again and again to print photos in the colours you actually want.)
To find out what a monitor needs to display digital photos correctly, have a read of this: 4 Things A Monitor Needs To Display Images Right

We also have advice on what monitors are ideal for a colour management system here: What Monitors Are Ideal For A CMS?
