, a new online photography school where every course is taught by a world leading photographer, today launches its September photo competition for its members.
The theme is 'Red' and as with all previous months, the MyPhotoSchool competition features 8 categories: Landscape & Nature, People, Abstract, Digital Manipulation, Travel & Architecture, Garden & Flower, Macro, plus the Monthly Theme.
"Red is probably one of the most powerful, emotive and strongest colours of the spectrum. As the September sun starts to become lower in the sky, we’re seeing many sun ‘red fire’ shots appearing in photographic competition entries, especially in our landscape category," said Duncan Heather, Associate Director, MyPhotoSchool. "So it seemed a fitting theme with which to launch the MyPhotoSchool September monthly photo competition. Together with the other seven categories, we are confident there will be something for everyone this month."
The MyPhotoSchool monthly photo competition is completely free to enter and winning entries will not only be exhibited on the MyPhotoSchool homepage for a month, before being archived in the MyPhotoSchool online gallery, but will also be actively promoted by MyPhotoSchool via a monthly blog post and press release. The winning entry to each category will receive a 50% Off MyPhotoSchool coupon code and be entered into the People’s Choice Award for the best photo of the year where there's a chance to win a DSLR camera.
Awards will include the following: first place, second place, third place, fourth place and fifth place. There will also be five honourable mention awards selected from all of the entries. Depending on the amount and the quality of the entries there may also be Special Recognition awards posted as well.
There is no limit on the number of images that a photographer can submit provided they only enter one photo per day.
