Reflecta has launched a new solution to iPad scanning.

Reflecta, the respected German manufacturer of cutting-edge digitization products, has provided iPad users with a new, revolutionary way of scanning important documents and images directly onto their iPad in the form of their new Reflecta iPad-Scan.

The device works by placing the iPad on top of it and feeding the document to be scanned into the slot, and the Reflecta iPad scan will do the rest.

The latest innovation from Reflecta means iPad users no longer need to undertake traditional scanning methods to achieve high-quality copies onto their iPad and is sure to become a ‘must have’ for many business people, sales staff, journalists, students and pupils.

Do you not just take a photo of the document with the ipad? Or iphone, often found with joint ownership as personal hotspot is so cool.

I assume that option would result in a jpg file whilst scanning one would get a pdf file, which with the right software could be edited, formated, cut & pasted into a "word" / " pages" document.

I thought it was scanning the iPad - for screenshots etc.

You can capture the screen on a ipad/iphone by holding the home key and on/off button at same time.
Jpegs and tiffs are easily put into word documents, and there are a few image editing programs around, but hey with some folk earning more than a 1000x others £150 is peanuts it's a nice looking gadget.
