Renaissance Photography Prize 2012 - The Renaissance Photography Competition, which raises money to support younger women with breast cancer, is now looking for entries.

In the 2011 competition, 4,577 photographs were submitted by 1,121 photographers in 61 countries, raising £36,735 in entry fees. Photographers from 18 different countries were featured in the 100 shortlisted photographs.
The competition organisers said: "By entering the Renaissance Photography Prize 2012 you get the chance to have your work judged by some of the top names in photography and be exhibited in the prestigious Mall Galleries in the heart of London. You’ll also be donating to breast cancer as all of your entry fee is donated to the Lavender Trust at Breast Cancer Care. Renaissance is run entirely by volunteers. Every penny goes to charity. Everyone gives their time and expertise for free which has allowed us to raise over £150,000 so far."
The judges this year include: Brett Rogers (Director, The Photographers’ Gallery), Mary McCartney (Photographer), Michael Hoppen (Gallery Owner), Brigitte Lardinois (Curator & Magnum Magnum Editor) and Monica Allende (Picture Editor, Sunday Times Magazine).
Categories include Expression, Environment, Memory, Perspective and Disorientation and all entries must be submitted by 4 March 2012 (2200 GMT). The judging process begins on 14 March 2012.
100 entries will be shortlisted for exhibition at The Mall Galleries which will run from 10 - 16 June 2012.
