Mr Kobayashi and the Cosina Company have played a large part in setting recent trends in rangefinder photography and now offer a huge range of cameras, lenses and accessories. The Voigtlander range has developed a reputation for high quality and extremely good value for money and expansion of the range shows no abating with more plans for developments in the near future. The current Voigtlander range includes the R3a which represents one of a handful of cameras with a 1:1 finder, and the availability of the 40/1.4 Nokton Classic lens in single and multicoated versions demonstrates Voigtlanders commitment to analogue photography. However the company is not blind to digital application making suitably configured finders available for use of their lenses on the Epson RD1 digital rangefinder camera.
Robert White has for some time been holding substantial stocks of the whole Voigtlander range including Bessaflex TM, SC lenses and accessories, all competitively priced in the World market. As well as the complete range we have some of the last stocks of the R2s Limited Edition set with 50/3.5 rigid Heliar lens.
Robert White has personally recently visited Cosina in Japan and having seen their production from the ground up, which includes glass manufacturing on site. This centralisation of manufacture and appointment of a new importer means that now the whole of the Voigtlander range will be readily available.
