Samsung has announced two new compact cameras at CES 2014, the WB50F and WB35F.

Both of the cameras feature a 16.2 megapixel 1/2.3 inch CCD sensor, 12x zoom and OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation).

The WB50F is designed to be a family camera, with a soft bouncing flash. It features Samsung's 'Tag & Go' technology, with advanced NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity. The Samsung WB50F was created with the style conscious and aesthetically-aware photographer at heart. It comes in four different colors including white, black and red, and its sleek design will appeal to those who want a camera to be both a fashion accessory and photography device.

Both Smart Mode and Smart Auto are standard with the WB50F. Smart Mode allows for a number of different customization and personalization settings to be used by photographers. Smart Auto automatically selects these settings based on an analysis of the shooting situation.

The WB35F features the same advanced NFC and Wi-Fi technologies, and Samsung say it enables photographers to capture images in sharp definition and vibrant colour. The Samsung WB35F was created for ambitious photography enthusiasts that want an affordable device with impressive imaging capabilities. It comes in four different colors (black, red, white and purple) and the 67.5mm (2.7-inch) QVGA LCD screen helps for easy and simple control of navigation.

Additional capabilities of the device include Live Panorama mode in which users can automatically activate panoramic image capture by simply spanning the device from side to side. In addition, there is a video mode capability in which users can capture HD video recordings in impressive HD quality.
