Samsung i70 - snazzy compact launched

Press release:

If you love taking great pictures but don’t want to compromise on style then Samsung’s funky new colour range of i70 cameras are sure to impress. Available in a choice of four stylish new colours the 7.2Mp camera is the perfect accessory for all your photography needs.

The eye-catching i70 appears fabulously button free at first glance with all the controls cleverly concealed behind the innovative sliding cover. When opened this reveals the intuitive 9-button User Interface giving you total control of your shots. This premium camera comes in four sleek colours – classic silver, contemporary black, or if you prefer a real splash of colour, opt for the pink or gold versions. The pink and gold cameras even sport an attractive pattern on the body - making sure they really stand out from the crowd.

Aside from the stunning design the i70 is also streets ahead in functionality, the 7.2Mp camera features 3x zoom and a large 3.0” LCD. What’s more, the i70 isn’t just a camera – it also has some great multimedia capabilities to keep you fully entertained. This includes a Portable Media Player and an MP3 player so you can have video and music on the go.  It also has a text viewer that enables you to read whilst listening to music. The I(Intelligent)-movie capability supports TV quality MPEG-4 (720x480) at 15fps, combining with image stabilisation and in camera editing.

Now for the really clever part - the i70 also includes Samsung’s Intelligent Face Recognition Technology, which detects the subject’s face, automatically adjusts to ensure better composition and image quality in shots featuring people. The AF function instantaneously recognises the faces of subjects and accurately focuses on them.  The AE function then takes over, setting the appropriate exposure to ensure the highest image quality – so no more blurry faces!
