Photobox, the UK and Europe’s number one online community for photo printing and personal publishing, today gives every budding photographer the tools to sell their photographs online. The company has unveiled its new Pro Gallery service which allows photographers to create their own customised online gallery, personally selecting the products they sell and prices that they charge. Pro galleries are totally free to set up, PhotoBox charges a simple 10 % commission for each gallery sale.

Photographers can upload and manage their photos on PhotoBox as normal and then simply head to the PhotoBox Pro Gallery site to convert their albums into collections that are displayed for sale. Each gallery can be personalised with the photographer’s own logo design, gallery description and contact details.  By sharing a link to the gallery, collections can be viewed and purchased by the photographer’s own customer base. The entire range of print sizes plus a selection of simple gifts are available to sell at prices set by the gallery owner. PhotoBox handles all of the order processing, printing, posting and packaging and after sales customer care on behalf of the gallery owner. The gallery owner simply checks their admin page to see their sales and revenue.

Commenting on the new Pro Gallery service, Mark Chapman, PhotoBox Managing Director, said: “The new Pro Gallery service gives all photographers an easy to use and free to set up service, allowing them to create their gallery and start selling in just a few minutes.  If you are a photographer who wants to sell your work, PhotoBox gives you the tools to create and manage a customised gallery that you can share with your customer base, maximising sales.”

The new Pro Gallery service has been co-created with photographers and works alongside PhotoBox’s web 2.0 consumer personal printing and publishing service. The original Pro Gallery service launched in 2002 with thousands of photographers using the service and contributing their ideas, many of which are now available with the new service and many more powerful selling and customisation features will be available throughout 2009.

Start earning from your photos in two easy steps. Step one - join PhotoBox and upload your images. Step two - go to the Photobox Gallery website, sign in using your PhotoBox details and follow the simple set up wizard to create your gallery.
