Son of a Gun photography - A new name on the North West photography scene brings the promise of a fresh, creative outlook backed by many years of professional experience.

Although Stockport-based Son of a Gun Photography has now opened its doors for business, it already has a well-established list of satisfied customers, having operated as the photography arm of a North West advertising agency for the last 15 years. "Now were working much more in our own right and we felt that a name change which reflected this fact was essential," explains senior photographer Martin Hallam. "We have built a good reputation for the quality of our work and launching our services under a new name lets the world know that we are now a force in our own right."
Son of a Gun operates from its 6,000 sq ft studio in Hazel Grove, Stockport, and offers a full photography service backed by comprehensive image management and manipulation services In recent times it has undertaken a wide range of studio work shooting everything from fashion and room sets through to still-life and toys and it also handles location work, having travelled as far as Africa to complete assignments.
Martin Hallam - whose work has been featured in such publications as Cheshire Life - is an excellent example of the strength of the new companys offering. Martin scooped eleven different awards for his work at last years British Institute of Professional Photography Awards, including a clean sweep of the fashion section where he won all five awards. Martin also took 6 BIPP awards in 2003 and another 8 in 2004.
"Its a great time for Son of a Gun to be launching under its own name," Martin adds. "We can offers our customers a totally proven and professional service backed by enormous experience and that puts us in a strong position win some very exciting work in the future."
