At just 12.2mm* thick, the new Sony TX55 Cyber-shot is the world's thinnest compact camera**. It's also the first Cyber-shot camera that includes a slot to accept Memory Stick Micro (M2) and MicroSD/SDHC flash memory cards. The camera features a 16.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor and ‘By Pixel Super Resolution’ technology that boosts zoom range from 5x to 10x. Movies can be captured in Full HD AVCHD as well as 16.2 megapixel still images. It also shoots super-detailed panoramas with 42.9 megapixel resolution and can capture 3D panoramas and still images. Superior Auto mode can be activated for both stills and movie shooting and Picture Effect mode lets you apply picture effects to your images in-camera. You'll preview your images on the 8.3cm/3.3" Xtra Fine capacitive OLED wide touch screen and the Optical SteadyShot Active Mode*** will help reduce shake when shooting HD video, even when walking.
The Sony Cyber-shot TX55 is available from September 2011.
