The workshops will be presented by award winning photographer Keith Trainor. Keith will demonstrate practical event photography using fast Sony event printers and ExpressDigital Darkroom workflow software.

Darkroom enables you to drop your subjects onto fantasy backgrounds digitally, in just an instant. It can also be used to produce novelty magazine covers (such as personalised Hello! covers), and to add borders, text and logos to your prints. It is so efficient that finished and embellished photos can be produced within seconds of the original image being taken.

Fast Sony professional dye-sub photo printers are the ideal companion for the event photographer. The Sony UP-DR150 outputs prints up to 6 x 8in in moments and is supported by direct driver support in Darkroom. For 8 x 12in magazine covers, the Sony UP-GR700 is an ideal machine. It produces great portraits too. Using proprietary Sony ProMatte technology, it has the unique ability to output matte prints as well as gloss, all from the same roll of media.

During the workshops Keith Trainor will also demonstrate the use of backgrounds and lights at events, and how to shoot greenscreen. And, all importantly, he'll be clueing you in on the business tips and tricks you need to know in order to make money from your eventing.

The Sony Event Photography Workshops are being held on November 28, 2007 as part of the Anniversary Day events taking place in www.photomart.co.uk's huge London showrooms. They will be presented twice, and you can choose whether to attend the 10:00am one or the 02:00pm one.

An all-star cast of photographers - including Jon Gray and Elmira Watts - will present a variety of other photo workshops on the same day, sponsored by manufacturers such as Bowens, ExpressDigital and Sony, on topics ranging from Event Photography to Studio Lighting, Colour Management, Wide Format, and Workflow Productivity.

Free food and refreshments will be provided throughout the day, and www.photomart.co.uk are giving 15% off most accessories and consumables purchased at the workshops. Additionally, representatives of many major brand manufacturers will be on hand to extend show specials to attendees.

A single ticket grants entry to all workshops, and all are presented twice on the day (once in the morning, once in the afternoon). You should be able to attend at least two. Tickets, priced at just £50 plus VAT, can be booked from the www.photomart.co.uk website, and directions to the London venue are there too. Just type the search code "TICKETANN" into the site's Search Box.

Book now, and we'll see you there!

(On your booking, please indicate that the workshop you wish to attend is Keith Trainor's Sony Event Photography one.)
