Two new Sony Camcorders were on display, one with a 10x optical zoom lens (HDR-CX760), another with a 17x optical zoom lens and built in projector (HDR-PJ710V), both camcorders also featured a new 24.1 megapixel Exmor R backlit CMOS sensor, capable of taking still images at 24.1 megapixels. This is the highest resolution Exmor R sensor ever.

When we talked to Sony about these being the first digital camera with a 24.1 megapixel compact sensor (smaller than the APS-C used in the mirrorless Sony NEX-7), they said that a similar compact camera should be coming from Sony soon.
