Sony Alpha 300mm G II Lens Hands-On
The Sony SAL 300mm G SSM II lens is a new premium telephoto f/2.8 lens from Sony, for the Alpha A-Mount, it feature dust and moisture protection and a new nano-coating. We had a chance to have a look at it, however as it is pre-production we have not been able to post any photos from it. There are more hands-on photos below, and more information in the news story.

I've had mine on order since November. It has the same coating as the 500, works with the 121 focal points on the A99, Is four times faster than the MK1.
I expect the combination to be second to none.

and watch this space in the beginning of February for photos, hopefully the kingfishers will have paired up by then, and I will have my licence.
The Sony 300MM F2.8 G mk2 lens is awesome. I received it yesterday. I calibrated it and took a few photos of small birds today, There can none better than the A99 with this lens.
