Tamron has won the EISA award for European Zoom Lens of the Year.
tamron lens eisa winner

This is the sixth year Tamron has won an EISA award.

The lens, which is a 60th anniversary model, the 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD, featured the best resolution in its class and was deemed easy to use.

The EISA jury commented that it is an excellent tool for travel photographers, who through this lens are now able to carry just one lens rather than the several that are usually needed to cover the same distance.

Quote: was deemed easy to use.

Not sure what this means..... what could be "not easy" about using a lens ? ( Perspective Control Lenses may be different )

What a strange comment to describe a lens, "deemed easy to use", like franken, all my lenses are easy to use.

So the Sigma 70-200 wins 'Lens of the year' and this one wins 'zoom lens of the year'

Go figure...
